Under the reform to the Assignment of Benefit procedures (as outlined in Health Insurance Legislation Amendment (Assignment of Medicare Benefits) Bill 2024 and subsequent instruments), it is not clear how this will impact the Outpatient procedure for PRNI (Privately "named" referred, non-insured).

We have been told that patient our hospital "will modernise and simplify the 'assignment of benefit' by implementing the Health Insurance Amendment (Assignment of Benefit) Act 2024".

How will this impact the way we bulk bill these patients?
