What the course covers

To understand Medicare you first have to understand the impact of the 1946 referendum and the change to the Australian Constitution that followed. But who wants to study Constitutional Law right? Well fear not doctors, we have covered it off quickly and simply in an engaging way (there’s even a YouTube clip thrown in), but without skimming over the important things you need to know to get your billing right.

Once you undertake this short course you will be the person your colleagues turn to with questions you never thought you would be able to answer.  We will give you an easy to understand overview of the Australian health system and the divisions of the roles within government, both State and Federal. You will also leave the course with a comprehensive overview of Medicare’s regulatory framework and will know when you can charge whatever you like, and when you can’t.

How the course is conducted

This course has been designed to be completely independent and self-paced meaning there is no need for intervention from a trainer.

Short Q&A and MCQ.
